The Pantry Legume & Taper Vase
Instead of colorful glass gems or neon marbles, head to the discount grocery section for dry legumes. Fill the bottom three inches of a tall glass cylinder vase with dry green split peas, black lentils, or pale cannellini beans.
Press a slender white or cream taper candle directly into the center of the beans. The small, dense legumes act like natural ballast, gripping the candle base firmly upright and level without needing melted wax or candle putty.
