Concept Overview & Aesthetic Appeal
An elegant, modern centerpiece featuring lush white hydrangeas in a glass bowl with crystal-clear faux acrylic water that mimics fresh-cut flowers.
Step-by-Step DIY Build Blueprint
-
Purchase a Dollar Tree glass fishbowl vase and 3 white hydrangea bushes.
-
Snip the hydrangea blooms into individual stems, cutting them short so the flower heads rest just above the vase rim.
-
Mix a two-part clear epoxy resin kit (or clear floral acrylic setting water) and pour 1 to 1.5 inches into the bottom of the glass bowl.
-
Insert the hydrangea stems directly into the clear liquid, arranging them in a tight, rounded dome.
-
Let cure undisturbed for 24 hours until the resin hardens into crystal-clear “permanent water.”

Pro Florist Tip
Wipe down the stems with rubbing alcohol before placing them into the resin to prevent tiny trapped air bubbles from clouding the faux water.
