An exciting outdoor bubble-making toy that turns gentle blowing breath into towering, rainbow-colored foamy bubble snakes.
-
Cut off the bottom 2 to 3 inches of a standard 500ml plastic water bottle with scissors.
-
Take a clean, mismatched cotton sock or a piece of terrycloth washcloth and stretch it tightly over the wide cut end of the bottle.
-
Secure the fabric firmly around the bottle body using a heavy-duty rubber band or colorful duct tape.
-
In a shallow bowl, mix 1/2 cup of warm water with 2 tablespoons of liquid dish soap and 1 teaspoon of glycerin or sugar.
-
Dip the fabric-covered end into the bubble solution until saturated.
-
Drop 2–3 drops of different food colors (blue, red, yellow) directly onto the wet fabric.
-
Have the child blow gently through the normal bottle mouthpiece to generate long, multi-colored foam snakes.

Safety Note: Remind young children to only blow out through the mouthpiece, never inhale, so they don’t accidentally taste the soapy solution.
